Workshop “Cold season - cold hands?”

As part of the current program of the Student Research Center (SFZ) of the TechnologieAllianzOberfranken (TAO), a trial day took place for the first time at the Faculty of Engineering on the school-free Day of Prayer and Repentance (Buß- und Bettag). Nearly 30 highly motivated schoolchildren found themselves at the faculty as there was no school. After a short lecture, the children were able to try their hand at engineering in workshops.

At the Department of Engineering Thermodynamics and Transport Processes, the workshop “Cold season - cold hands?” was so popular that we quickly set up five more places. Mr. Müller and Ms. Heshe, who supervised the workshop, explored the question “How do I store heat? And above all, how can I reactivate it when I need it?”.

The children then eagerly made their own pocket warmer. Now the stored warmth can be activated at any time and nobody has to freeze any more...
