Bayreuth, 27th June 2024
Marco Griesbach (center) with the board of examiners, the professors (from left to right) F. K. Fuss (chairman), R. Honke (HS Hof, second examiner), D. Brüggemann (first examiner) and A. Jess (additional examiner).
ZET and LTTT congratulate the newly appointed Dr.-Ing. Marco Griesbach on the successful completion of his doctoral thesis. His research work deals with the design of a combined heat pump-ice energy storage system (KomWEisS) from an economic and ecological point of view. The methods he developed were applied to various non-residential buildings such as hotels, schools and hospitals and validated with the operating data of the ice energy storage system in the TAO building.
Special thanks go to the Oberfrankenstiftung and the university management of the University of Bayreuth for their support in implementing the KomWEisS project.
Marco Griesbach will remain with the chair and the ZET as a senior research associate. He will contribute the findings of his thesis to future research projects and continue to be involved in teaching.
