Since 2016, Thomas Hillenbrand has been working as a research associate at LTTT. In 2020, he became the head of the department "Optical measurement technology and engines".
In the past years, he has completed his PhD thesis on "Raman spectroscopic characterization of the evaporation of binary ethanol-alkane mixtures on free-falling droplets". Here, the influences of mixing the renewable fuel ethanol to gasoline on the overall evaporation behavior and mixture formation under cold start conditions were characterized and discussed.
After handing in his thesis, Thomas Hillenbrand has thus successfully completed the doctoral procedure with the colloquium on May 31st, 2021.
The LTTT congratulates the new PhD engineer.
